Hi, my computer is equiped with a GPU but I don't remember seeing it working in the Windows monitoring window. I'm processing a lot of TWI tiles and everything takes hours or days to compute.

I would like to know a process that I can apply to know if my GPU card is working or not.

Data are here, if you want to test with it :

https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/dataset/indice-humidite-topographique-issu-du-lidar/resource/fc6c2bfb-355a-42e0-9fce-9a4f07da350d

I merged 800+ of these dataset. Now I'm doing a conversion to 32 float with the Copy tranform. It is running for more than 22 hours.

Graphic card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. Computer has 32 Go of RAM.

Thank you !

You could open "task manager", click on the performance tab, and see if the GPU is engaged in significant work or not.

I'm recently retired and eager to get back to learning the new Manifold 9 AI enhancements. If you post methods and code or your map project, I will give it a shot on my Lenovo D20 workstation. I'm on a 1 GIG fiber connection here in rural Maine with a decent hardware setup -- just click my name for the details.

As far as I can remember, the GPU is never active on this machine while using Manifold 9, according to the performance tab.

I also have DJI Terra installed and it needs a GPU to be installed, and I presume that it is used when I run DJI Terra.

Maybe something is wrong with my Manifold setup, or maybe I never use processes requiring GPU while using Manifold ?

Could the external hard drive (not SSD) be slow enough to make the use of GPU useless ? It is occupied at 95% full time and the memory is at 88 % while doing the Copy transform.

No need to guess - read the GPGPU topic in the user manual and it will clear up your questions.
