All posts - Global cylindrical projection centered on the Pacific
|
I'm attempting to create a global map centered on the Pacific (M9) using a cylindrical projection and am running into the same problems that generated a (M8) thread in 2007 ( Map traversing 180 meridian - projection issue (R 7.1.14.917) ) If I choose a central meridian of say 180 (or -180) my ETOPO1 base is truncated at the meridian and only half of the global topo map appears. Is there a way to get it to extend across the 180th meridian? Does this basic problem still persist after 18 years -and has it really been inherited by Release 9 (Build 9.0.181)?
