Here's a take on the mystery. Certainly being grateful to the Manifold company is justified, because they have created a great product. Given their history, expecting them to do normal things like fixing obvious software problems isn't justified. Expecting new releases as may be indicated on their website or in this forum isn't justified. Dimitri is obviously a good and well meaning guy, but the nature of software development and company's history is to follow what is best for the company. Keeping forum members in the know is low on their priorities. Their other business opportunites seem to drive the ship as well as AI development, which may let them rapidly develop code in the future. It's hard not to make software purchases and usage decisions without some expectation of the future, but I think it's fair to say one needs to be very cautious about putting too much faith in short-term expectations with Manifold. Can't say I love it, but being grateful is better than being upset.
