Hello everyone. Manifold Sales suggested I look for a consultant here to advise us on if their software would work well in our environment. I'm the technical administrator for a municipal government, and I honestly know nothing about GIS software but have been asked by our GIS department to see if I can find solutions to some of their issues. I think Manifold 9 might do what they need, but I need someone with much better knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and Manifold 9 to be able to go through their workflows and see if this is the right fit.

I'm located in Alberta, Canada. I'd like to find someone relatively local - but I won't turn down a good resource we can work with remotely. If you're interested in picking up some consulting work, please pop me an email at gis.consultant@rdcounty.ca and tell me a bit about your experience and rate.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Devin. If you haven't received a response, perhaps start a discussion here in the forum with a description of your GIS needs. If not confidential, can you describe what issues the GIS department is seeking a solution? As a municipality, I'm assuming the GIS department is using ESRI software? I tried looking at the RD interactive map but the link is broken to see what you have.

I'm a consultant in natural resources but not on municipal scale systems so I'm not the consultant you are looking for. I work on much smaller scales, with small First Nation communities in BC. I use Manifold to setup map databases then implement something like QGIS software in the communities (very fast learning curve, very low operating costs) mostly used for viewing spatial data. Others here maybe able to help you with your municipal scale question.
