All posts - Printer/page setup Manifold 8, Windows 11
|
I am a long time user of Manifold 8. My workflow is to export map layouts to Adobe Illustrator. Setting up the size of the exported .ai file is done in the Printer dialogue box. And in the past (with Windows 10), when I set the printer to Adobe pdf or Cute pdf writer, then set a custom size (Postscript Custom Page Size), this would be locked into this layout. Which is to say if I needed to export another .ai file (with new layers or whatever), the print dialogue would remember that I had used Adobe pdf or Cute pdf writer AND remember the custom page size I had set. In Windows 11, the print dialogue does not remember my custom page size - and reverts always to my default printer (an actual printer). I clicked the box at the bottom for "Let the app change my printing preferences" but this didn't seem to have an effect. Any thoughts on how to lock in my custom page size w/ Adobe pdf or Cute pdf writer would be very welcome. Thank you.

Have you tried doing what Windows 11 has recommended? Let's face it, you may be smart, but have you got the power of AI? Maybe what Windows suggests is not what you would like, but isn't there at least a chance that it could be what most people would go on to do, given your anonymised personal parameters and purchase history?

(And no, admins, just leave it. We need satire, especially now.)
