I am probably missing something obvious but I have a linked drawing of areas from SQL Server in which I need to be able to modify existing features and create new features. Editing existing features has not been a problem, as I am able to move and reshape areas with no issue at all. However, all of the INSERT buttons for areas, lines, points, etc. are disabled for the linked drawing (I confirmed that they are functional for local drawings in the project), so I am unable to create new features in the linked drawing. Since I couldn't draw a new feature directly into the drawing, I also tried creating a feature in a new layer and then using "Transfer selected" to get it into the linked layer. Although the option does exist, pressing OK doesn't seem to actually do anything. I did confirm that the layers share the same projection in case that was an issue. Is there a particular limitation that I'm not aware of in Manifold 8 with respect to the creation of new features in a linked SQL Server table, or is there something that I am overlooking? I have been through the manual but am just not seeing anything specific to this issue.
