Subject: DLL Error Running IronPython Script in Manifold 8 on Windows 10

PLEASE RESPOND QUICKLY

Message:

I'm encountering a DLL error when running an IronPython script in Manifold 8 on Windows 10. Despite installing IronPython and registering the DLLs in the GAC, I receive an error indicating that the required DLLs cannot be found or loaded. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Please list your steps of installing IronPython. What account did you install as? Can the DLLs be found on the disk? Can their location be found in the %PATH% env variable? I think we need more information on your setup. I recall having lots of issues 10+ yrs ago when trying this install for v.8.

1) Go to Python Iron and install 2.7.12 version. After it's installation in C: Program files.

2) Download.Net framework 3.5 from control panel and then into turn off and windows app and then restart pc.

3) Now SDK download in Program files, utilize gacutil.exe from it. For gacutil.exe , I have given a path as where is present in the system variable by editing the environmental system variable.

4) Then open command prompt by run as administrator, type commands

gacutil -i ironpython.dll

Now assembly connection appears.

5) using languages ironpython in Manifold place script but found error on running script as for DLL.

DLL are found on disk, give their location in environment variable, I downloaded Manifold 8.0 64x.

Now guide me with your experience, if possible can we have a online meeting if you agree .

Thanks

if you run the gacutil -i ironpython.dll command

Not as administrator, does it fail?

It feels to me like permission problems. I am unwilling to download the lang and SDK as my old machine is close to capacity.

I think there is every chance that this user is a bot B (intentionally not giving your full first name).

Such a sad world, for many reasons, but let's hope with some good still in it. T

Very true, but in this case I think it's just a matter of English not being a first language, coupled with too much haste to read anything as a result of time pressure, panic, etc.
