Why i don't have the Z-Values in Radian ?

Here a Map from Manfilod 8.x with a surface.

We do have Z values. They are contained in the tile. (That is all the tile contains.) In the example they are float32 values.

There is no Z readout in the status bar yet.

To be more precise, since images can now hold any type of value, up to four channels or bands, each up to float64 type:

9-series products don't care what meaning an image contains, be it RGB, RGBa, RGB + IR, remote sensing bands, landcover classification (up to four schemes at once), elevation(s), up to 3 data channels plus a date code, a source identifier, or a confidence level, or something else.

"Z" is a possible characterization of one possible element.

When the status bar readout comes along, no doubt it will show the full set of values under the mouse cursor (for the active layer, if viewing a map), in channel order, but without naming the values since their interpretation is strictly up to the observer.

Are there any plans to distinguish images from surfaces in Future?

I don’t think so. Why would you want to distinguish them (intrinsically)? This is progress!

The way to distinguish them is by usage, and of course formatting.

I understand. I guess I am still thinking in M8.

Ok thank you for the posts.

But how i get out of the [Tile] 3 new fields with my Projected X and Y (RW and HW in DHDN) and the Height from my Z (in Manifold 8.x speaking)...?

I can't find this (or i am to stupid) in the Transform of Manifold Future...

You need to use SQL, specifically the TileToValues function.

What do you need to do?

Hello Tim,

thank you for your answer.

What i want to do:

more or less the same like in Manifold 8.x if i select a surface (or a part of it) copy and paste it as table.

But i don`t need all fields, the important fields for me are the center of the pixel (X and Y as projected data) and the Height (I) - field...
