Hi all,

I am experimenting if we could actually implement this in our set-up. Our drawings are stored in Oracle Spatial and multiple users link to it and edit simultaneously. One of the special requirements is that some users may edit specific columns only.

One solution that I am thinking is by using views (thanks to this thread http://www.georeference.org/forum/t36807.12#36908 ). However, I want to take it a step further. Is there a way that after I make a view, one of the columns would be "frozen" for edit?

For example, I want to make a view with an OID and geometry column in it. I just want the geometry column to be edited, but I want the OID column intact and uneditable in the view. I still want to show the OID as a reference.

I've tried doing the granting of edit to the geometry column only, but it made the whole table/drawing uneditable.

TIA!
